14 July 2022 till 27 July 2022 William Costa is a Conservation Breeding Aviculturist with a Bachelor in Biological Sciences that has worked on multiple species recovery projects around the world. He will assess the situation of the breeding white-tailed tropicbirds and form an action plan to secure the future of this seabird population.
24th October till 01st November, 2022 - Pandora is one of UK Radio’s most recognized radio presenters and DJ. She will be refreshing us with her presence as a DJ during Diwali and host at Sustainability Day. Being a big advocate for animal rights, she will also be hosting the first Cat Charity Event in Amilla.

1 July 2022 till 31 October 2022 The year 2022 marks the fiftieth anniversary for the Maldives tourism industry. Tourism is the largest economic industry in the Maldives, as it earns foreign exchange revenues and offers the employment of up to 25,000 people. The beautiful archipelago of the Maldives is the main attraction to many tourists.
1 October 2022 Neyvaa 2 is the attempt to make a Guinness World Record for most people performing static apnea simultaneously in multiple locations across the Maldives as a group. Static apnea is a discipline in which a person holds their breath underwater for as long as possible while floating on the surface of the water.
22 November 2022 till 30 November 2022 Daniil Medvedev is a professional tennis player, currently ranked as world No. 1 by the ATP. He was ranked as world No. 1 for three weeks in 2022 and has won 13 ATP Tour singles titles, including the 2021 US Open. He will be hosting a one hour tennis clinic and Meet and Greet for our tennis loving guests
October 15th till 25th - Originally from Cambridgeshire, Luke French began his culinary career at the young age of 14, making his first steps in the industry, like many chefs, as a Kitchen Porter. After climbing the ranks and working at some of the best restaurants in Cambridge including Michelin-starred restaurant Alimentum (now closed), he set off to travel and work around Asia. It was here that he absorbed new cuisines and techniques which are reflected in his cooking today.
Ivan is a multi-talented performer, hailing from Mexico and based in Turkey. He has performed his own show in collaboration with other artists at the top resorts in the Caribbean and the Pacific region. His performances consist of fire dancing, LED shows and stilts walking. Besides that, he gives acrobatics, fire(less) dancing and juggling classes. Ivan is at Amilla from 5th January till 2nd July 2022.
Inna holds a Bachelor's degree in Circus and Variety Arts from Kyiv Municipal Academy. She has performed in Germany, the Bahamas, Turkey, Vietnam, Qatar, the UAE and Israel. Her performances consist of hoop juggling and hand balancing shows. Besides that, she gives hula hoop, hand balancing, gymnastics and juggling classes. Inna is at Amilla from 5th January till 2nd July 2022.
Alesia graduated from the Kiev Circus Academy. She has experience as air gymnastics coach and participated in the 20 International Des Artistes De Cirque Saint-Paul-Les-Dax Festival. Her performances consist of aerial hoop, aerial silks and ribbon dancing shows. Besides that, she gives aerial hoop and aerial silks classes. Alesia is at Amilla from 11th February till 8th August 2022.
DJ Tappu has performed at various music festivals in Thailand and Sri Lanka, and as a resident DJ for Maldivian resorts. With over 16 years of experience, he plays a wide range of musical genres, specializing in hip hop, R&B, and house. He performs as a DJ during guest cocktails and can be found playing his more upbeat songs in the evening in Baa Bar. Tappu is at Amilla till 30th October 2022.
1 June 2022 till 31 May 2023 Solih will be showcasing his craftwork and conducting lacquer workshops and wood carving classes for the artistically inclined guests. The master artisan of lacquer and his talented wife demonstrate the sheer expertise, skills, and knowledge one requires to produce the Maldivian wooden lacquer work.
Bodu Beru, is the big drums of the Maldives, a part of its culture and is the heart of traditional Maldivian music. Our Bodu Beru drummers show a magical amalgamation of drums, vocals, and dance. They perform during the weekly guest cocktails and the Maldivian Night. Besides that, they can brighten any celebration with their private performances. The Bodu Beru group is at Amilla till 31st December 2022.
20 July 2022 till 26 July 2022 The Prism is a live acoustic band from Male’ that delights their audience by performing musical genres ranging from pop and blues to smooth jazz. They will be performing in Baa Bar at sunset and in the evening time and also give drum, guitar and singing classes as well as jam sessions for all guests.
9 June 2022 till 8 September 2022 - Coming from an Island of Maldives, Moosa Samaau is an experienced musician, a skilled vocalist and keyboardist. He is an avid traveler with 8+ years of experience under his wing in instruments like drums, accordion, harmonica, handpan, saxophone, loopers and percussion, while being adept in composition, recording and production. Among his repertoire includes mixed genres of music from, soul, classic, retro, latest hits, ambient, blues, alternative rock, and more that suits for a wide audience. Classes: Piano, handpan, and bodu beru drum.
3 July 2022 till 31 August 2022 Jonas is a skilled and professional circus artist and one of the best fire dancers worldwide. He has been working with artists and directors from Cirque du Soleil in the best clubs in Ibiza, Egypt, Bali and many more countries. He gives Capoeira and fire dancing classes as well as fire and LED shows.
9 August 2022 till 6 January 2023 Anna is an experienced acrobat with a Master degree in Sports. She has been working as a circus artist in the National Circus of Ukraine. Her performances consist of aerial gymnastics, juggling and poi spinning. Besides that, she gives aerial gymnastics as well as gymnastics and stretching classes.
31 October 2022 till 10 November 2022 Tom Green is currently playing on the HITS Radio Network aired every day across the UK. During his stay in Amilla, he will be entertaining our guests as DJ during Halloween and Guy Fawkes, as well as, hold a "red carpet” interview during Halloween and host ‘The Amilla Dangerous Dinners’ podcast.
